34 Years of Opening Day tradition Since 1993, Tyee members have gathered for the Opening Day Steak Fry to launch the season with full plates and packed docks. Now the tradition is getting a new name and a fresh look as the Tyee Opening Day Classic, inspired by the dinghy dock, the lake, and the tiki‑bar energy right off the station deck.

A DJ will spin a mix of familiar favorites and modern dance tracks—seating is limited, so reserve early.

Boat Parade & Classic
Enjoy the Opening Day boat parade, then head back to Tyee for the Opening Day Classic: Dinghies, Dining & Dancing.
Travel by dinghy if you can—dock space will be limited.
Events like this only happen with help from our amazing Tyee crew. We’ll be looking for volunteers to serve as greeters, hosts, tender valets, drink ticket sellers, and more.
